Pray for Haiti

As you all know, Haiti experienced a devastating earthquake on January 12th, 2010. That year was a devastating one in many ways for the Haitian people. Thousands lost their parents.. their brothers and sisters..friends.. or their own lives. Those who did not suffer the fate of death were and still are left homeless, pennyless, without proper sanitation, with disease...and without hope. In the same year they experienced a hurricane which killed many people still living in tents, and a cholera outbreak among those same tent cities which in itself claimed hundreds of lives. Even today, nearly two years later, the people of this poor country is still experiencing the effects of these disasters and are still left with the repercussions.
There are many of you who have risen to the aid of these people. I know that I can speak on behalf of those who have received hope, and we thank you, for sacrifices you have made in order to alleviate their suffering.
I would like to ask you to consider adding Haiti to your prayers. It is dear to my heart as I had the pleasure and blessing of spending quite a bit of time there over the last year. Even though I am no longer directly working with them, they are not forgotten in my heart or God's. I still fully support Mobile Medical Disaster Relief and the work that they are doing in Haiti. I also support Samaritan's Purse and any other organization or individuals who are sacrificing their time or money to serve these people.
Below are some things to remember when praying for Haiti:
The earthquake victims families.
The homeless.
The orphans.
The hurricane victims.
The people living in tent cities.
The hungry.
The poor.
The cholera victims and their families.
The elections and the violence that comes with it.
The victims of violence and their families.
Pray for the churches to strengthen their leadership.
The ability for churches to serve their communities.
The development of strong leaders nationwide.
The establishment of a healthcare system.
The establishment of more jobs.
The vulnerable.
The handicapped.
Education for the children.
Pray for the country to be able to establish independence from foreign aid.
"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing cothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'
Thank you all for your generous hearts and heartfelt prayers. If any of you are interested in actively serving whether it's going to Haiti or providing supplies, finances or prayer, please don't hesitate to let me know! I can point you in the right direction. It is a great blessing to serve our Lord!
